Chametz she'avar alav haPesach

Jewish owned businesses that did not sell their chametz during Pesach raise serious issues of chametz she'avar alav haPesach.  There are no problematic supermarkets in the Twin Cities, but there are likely liquor stores that fall under this category.  For a month following Pesach, it is highly recommended to purchase beverages from stores known to be Jewish and compliant with halachah, or businesses that are not Jewish owned.  Merwin, Liquor Boy, Aviv, Chicago Lake, Lunds, Trader Joe's, and Target are fine.  Additionally, the JCC vending machines are of questionable halachic ownership status and should be avoided until the chametz snacks that were available during Pesach are cycled out of the machines.
